So what is going on with Put Your Hands Up For Neo-Tokyo? Well. A lot. Njål Paulsberg, the songwriter and musician behind this crazy moniker band, has been busy touring with his partner in crime Matias Tellez and the band Young Dreams. The record “Between Places” is out now on Modular Records and it’s an amazing journey through pop music and four-part vocal harmonies layered over weird instrumentation.

But he has also been in the studio, producing for Machine Birds and Tellef Raabe + mixing a ton of Pandreas. This is all recommended highly. But even though Njål is a busy man he still has time to churn out weird pop gems that tickles your brain and leaves giant melodic hooks out alone in the magical forest with few bread crumbs to find it’s way home.

Get a chance to catch up with some of the weirdest, but nicest, pop music Bergen has to offer in a special, intimate event curated by the magazine ENO. Nobel Bopel will turn into a intimate concert venue for the evening tomorrow Saturday. The shenanigans start at 20:00 (8pm).
